Troubleshooting and Technical Support
While it is unlikely an error will occur, using the GEA IPC Troubleshooting Help will allow you to solve potential errors and/or problems you may encounter when using this program.
Diagnosing the problem
Most errors can be attributed to missing or moved program files or errors caused by changes to your computer clock. Common errors are listed below. Find your error and then click a link below to view corresponding troubleshooting information.
GEA IPC displays a license error
- Make sure your computer is set to the correct date and time.
- If this does not resolve the issue, please click Troubleshooting license errors.
GEA IPC runs but you have troubles viewing the application
- Please click Troubleshooting display issues.
An error appears during the installation of GEA IPC on Vista
These errors are caused by a higher version of the Windows Installer already being present on Windows Vista.
When installing the GEA IPC base install on Vista, follow these steps to move past the errors:
- When the installation begins you will see the following window:
An error message may appear on top of the install window.
If this dialog box appears, click OK.
The error dialog box disappears.
On the InstallShield Wizard, click OK.
This error dialog box will appear.
- Click OK
The following dialog box will appear:
- Click Yes
Continue the installation. The installation will complete as normal.
An error appears during the installation of GEA IPC on XP with Service Pack 3
These errors are caused by a higher version of the Windows Installer already being present on Windows XP with Service Pack 3
When installing the GEA IPC base install on XP with Service Pack 3, follow these steps to move past the errors:
- When the installation begins you will see the following window:
- Click OK
The following dialog box will appear.
- Click Yes
Continue the installation. The installation will complete as normal.
